Hi George, The HAFB was at Woulden Hard a winter build. Looking at all that snow on the bridge I've a feeling it may have been the B2 Combat Engineer Course run by 2 Div. in 65-66.
I think most of the bridge had been built the course just completed the build and then disconnected the part with the Gainsborough on it and the tugs took it to the home bank and let the Gainsborough off.
I don't think it was a Squadron build not enough bods. [2&3 troops on holidays again]
I have a feeling that a local unit built it.
